Our Team

Ash is the one and only, owner and creator of Ash Hair. Starting her mission in 2015 to build a creative space using upcycled aesthetics and only using the best products in the business. Ash is hugely driven and passionate which gave her the tools to create this innovative salon. Just after starting her hairdressing journey she was selected for the Schwarzkopf young artistic team, which only 10 people in the UK are chosen for. This involved working on photoshoots, stage work and styling hair for magazines. Within her two decades of working in the industry Ash has worked in west Didsbury as well as teaching at Tameside college and a member of the Kevin Murphy fashion team for Prague fashion week. You are unlikely to meet Ash without her lovable pug, Diablo, her partner in crime. If only Dabs was able to join her on her favourite holiday destination to Ibiza. Unfortunately Ash is unable to take on any clients currently, she's a very busy lady creating the next big thing while supporting and growing our amazing team!

Kirsty is our salon manager with two decades of experience in the industry. Starting her career in the south west of England she then embarked on a journey of travelling the world before moving to Australia where she worked as a senior stylist in Melbourne. Eventually settling here in Manchester and joining the team at Ash Hair. Kirsty’s passion for hairdressing lies in creative cutting, especially extreme short styles. As the salon manager, she looks after every aspect of the salon from the staff to the client care and everything in between. Celebrating the fantastic news of recently becoming a Mum to little Elijah, Kirsty loves nothing more than spending time with her dog Floyd and her family. Always making the time to still travel and visit new destinations every year.

Rach has been part of the team since the day the doors opened and from her first day she has always strived for nothing short of excellent. Highly educated with a huge number of courses completed over the years, with all this knowledge she found her true passion in colouring. Rach is our creative colour expert in all aspects of hair colouring, from natural balayages to bold vivid colours, there isn't anything she doesn't know. Outside of work Rach has an undeniable love for everything disney, having been over to Florida many times to visit disney land itself. Her family means everything to her, she's a beautiful, loyal and honest soul. Full of energy Rach is a true asset to the team, having a deep understanding of hair and customer care we couldn't be without our original team member.

With over 15 years of experience and completed numerous training courses with Saks, L’oreal and Great Lengths to name a few, Matty has an undeniable knowledge in everything hairdressing. Starting his career in Manchester then a few years later moved to the North East, he learnt all about the art of hair extensions. Although being the family man he is, he couldn't stay away for too long and so decided to come back to his home town of Manchester with his 3 dogs. Since starting at Ash Hair he has been a true asset, becoming our hair extension expert and bringing his bubbly, funny and lovable personality into our salon walls. As well as a master of styling hair, he is a self confessed perfectionist. Matty is a proper animal lover and loves taking his doggies out to explore new places, a fan of musical theatre and the Kardshians.

Meet our one and only front of house, Molly! Bubbly and inviting she is here to help. With a background in hospitality and management Molly has all the skills necessary to provide our guests with the best client experience possible. Molly is the light in the room, organised and strives for inclusivity. When she’s not busy in the salon, Molly is currently learning Spanish with her Spanish fiance and is looking forward to getting married over there next year. A real foodie, she has a passion for trying new cuisine and restaurants. Molly is also a big reality TV fan, just ask if you need to catch up on a missed episode.

Amy is our rising star and exciting new talent here at Ash Hair. Her energetic and fun personality is contagious, she’ll make you feel just at home. Her strengths lie in her hair extension and colour work with an incredible eye for detail in her thorough one to one consultations, Amy has a real passion for everything hair. To add to these talents Amy is also our Kerastraight expert, bringing our clients super smooth healthy hair. Fun fact about Amy; she has an ever growing “zoo” at home, with animals including cats, dogs and even ranging to tarantulas. Her knowledge for all things Harry Potter is next to unbeatable with the ability to quote any line from the films or books.

Our newest team member, Dom, has settled in like she's always been here. Dom's virtue is her patience, instantly bringing calm and tranquillity to your salon experience. Her hairdressing journey started over a decade ago with Wella, where she found her strengths in balayage, creative highlighting and colour transformations. Then in 2020 on a mission to love your natural beauty she started her own curly hair journey, learning specialised cutting techniques, hair colours and styling to enhance curl patterns and definitions. Bringing these skills to Ash Hair it's easy to see why Dom is our curly hair specialist. Dom is passionate about exploring and enjoying stay-cations with her canine friend, Simba. Family is her anchor and loves discovering new culinary delights. As well as relaxing with a good binge-worthy series in her downtime.
